Patrick Harbison, Owner

Patrick Harbison is the owner of Patrick Harbison Public Relations (PHPR), a full-service public relations firm in Sacramento. 


With more than 15 years of experience as a publicist, media consultant, publicity professional and media booker, Patrick leverages his extensive contacts within broadcast and print media to yield coverage for his firm’s diverse client base which includes marquee city-wide events, politically-minded organizations and daytime television actors. 


Patrick is a three-time Hermes award winner, has been voted “Best of Sacramento” in various categories by both the Sacramento News and Review and the KCRA A-List and was selected as one of the Sacramento Business Journal’s top “40 Under 40” professionals in 2014. In 2015, the Sacramento Public Relations Association named him the Public Relations Professional of the Year and in 2016 Patrick was named Influencer of the Year by the Public Relations Society of America. In 2017, Comstock’s Magazine named him one of its Emerging Leaders and Access Sacramento awarded him its "Power of the Voice" award. In 2018, PHPR was selected as the inaugural Agency of the Year by the Public Relations Society of America. In 2020, the Sacramento Business Journal named him one of its inaugural Corporate Citizenship Award winners and this year, Sacramento Magazine named him one of Sacramento's Top 100 Professionals. 


Patrick is a dedicated advocate for Sacramento non-profits and regularly donates his time and PR expertise to area organizations including WEAVE, the Make a Wish Foundation, the Sacramento Theater Company and the Sacramento LGBT Community Center. 

 

A lifelong Sacramento resident, Patrick lives in midtown with his husband Charles and their dog Tux.

Brandon Souza, Senior Content Strategist

Brandon is Senior Content Strategist for PHPR, helping clients promote their messaging across a wide array of communications platforms.  A resident of Mansion Flats in Midtown, Brandon moved to Sacramento in 2008 after his graduation from Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo. In his 10+ year career experience, Brandon has worked in a variety of marketing and communications roles, both in
non-profit/advocacy and business. In 2020, he completed his MBA from UC Davis. He is also a graduate of the Institute of Advanced Advertising Studies and a Class 44 fellow from the prestigious California Agricultural Leadership Foundation.

 

In addition to work, Brandon volunteers for the Sacramento LGBT Center and the Sacramento County Farm Bureau Scholarship Foundation. An avid traveler, foodie and wine enthusiast, Brandon can often be found on the Midtown grid with his labradoodle Bosco, enjoying time with friends. 

Cassie Kendall, Communications Assistant
 

Cassie Kendall is a third year Sacramento State student studying Communication, Public Relations as well as Marketing. Cassie has been the Vice President of the Public Relation Student Society of America (PRSSA) for the Fall 2020 and Spring 2021 semester. There, she is able to help students explore the endless opportunities of public relations by coordinating with professionals across the country to speak and spread wisdom for her chapter. 
 

Cassie is an active member in the community by serving as an advocate for youth involvement. In 2019, Cassie was crowned Miss Fair Oaks by the Fair Oaks Chamber of Commerce and in 2020 served on the founding board for the Fair Oaks Youth Outreach. There she took on the role of outreach coordinator and organized events such as Christmas in the Village, Fiesta Days, and the Best of Fair Oaks. 
 

Cassie spends her time supporting the arts by visiting the theatre whenever she can! She is a native to Sacramento.
